Journal History

This journal was established in 2015. The title was JPBI (Jurnal Pendidikan Biologi Indonesia). JPBI in Volume 1 Number 1, March 2015 to Volume 3 Number 2, July 2017 issued in the Indonesian language. Started by Volume 3, Number 3, November 2017, the journal was only published by using one language namely English, with the new template. In this template the JPBI uses the Times New Roman 11 fonts in the main paragraphs (except tables and pictures), 1 space, and the addition of some items in the header/footer section of the pdf script (on the first page adding a new logo, adding "Indonesian Journal of Biology Education" to facilitate international readers to understand the names of journals, JPBI links, article history, and citation; on the next page write the author's name, journal name, volume and number, page number, and short title).

Started by Volume 5, Number 1, March 2019, the journal was only published by using the new template (2019 Template). This change was made in an effort to meet the standards and patterns of reputable international journals. In this template the JPBI uses the Arial Narrow fonts, 1 space, 1 column, and the addition of some items in the header/footer section of the pdf manuscript.

The English for JPBI (Jurnal Pendidikan Biologi Indonesia) is Indonesian Journal of Biology Education. This journal published by Department of Biology Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang and since October 2017 in collaboration with Asosiasi Lesson Study Indonesia (ALSI)/Indonesian Association of Lesson Study.

The journal is published three times a year, in March, July, November. The journal presents the results of research and review in the field of Biology Education and "pure" biology is applied/implemented in the field of education and learning. The journal is indexed by DOAJ (since July 2017) and SINTA (since January 2018), and JPBI has been officially accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia (Decree No. 30/E/KPT/2018; as a SINTA 2 Journal/ACCREDITED)
