Abstract

This study aims to explore the meaning and value of halal labels listed in the packaging of food products manufactured home industry manufacturers. By using posmodernism paradigm, this study managed to formulate that in a producers
perspective it has a halal label bias meaning that deserve our attention, namely: first, halal labels an identical product contains no pork and alcohol. Second, as a liberation (Liberation) consumers of the things that are expressly forbidden in Islam, that will harm yourself, others and the environment. Third, product does not contain elements of uncleanthe. Fourth, significant responsibilities. Fifth, the meaning of bookmarks or information. Type the first meaning, second, third and fourth, are determined by the capacity of producers to understand the meaning of halal, which in this case can not be separated from the concept of Islam about halal.
