It Is in the national level that covers a lot of common problems or issues related to community services. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The first issued in March 2020, Janayu is publishing result of Community Service Activities two times a year<strong>. </strong>In 2023, Janayu published <strong>three times a year. </strong>Janayu has published both printed (book) and electronic (PDF) versions.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Janayu receives rigorous articles that have not been offered for publication elsewhere. Janayu focuses on the issue related to social humaniora that are relevant for the development of theory and practices in Indonesia and southeast asia especially and also in the world. <p><strong><em>Purpose –</em></strong> <em>One location where the garbage issues remain unaddressed is Abuan Village in the Bangli Regency. The occupation produces household garbage that is improperly managed. Consequently, the goal of the community service projects in this area is to inform the residents of Abuan village about the Bipori technique. Another </em><em>aims to increase the absorption of groundwater so as to minimize the potential for flooding. Moreover, the biopori method is also useful for fertilizing the soil, making it easy to plant. because there is a biological process that decomposes the waste that enters the biopori hole.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Design/methodology/approach -</em></strong> <em>The methods used in this community service activity include the provision of material by resource persons and direct practice which is carried out in one of the residents' houses that have been chosen by the village. Furthermore, there are three preparation method that been used uin these community service which are preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The purpose of implementing these three stages is to be able to measure and evaluate the activities carried out.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Findings –</em></strong><em> (1) There are still many people who do not know about household sorting, (2) the emergence of awareness among the people of Abuan village to manage household waste produced by sorting waste into organic and inorganic waste, (3) The community knows the stages of implementing the biopori method and after community service activities there are several people who are interested in implementing the biopori method in their home gardens.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Originality/value –</em></strong> <em>In order to decrease household garbage, the service team in Abuan Village is assisted by this Partnership Program in managing the waste generated by the village's houses and providing training.</em></p>I Made Riyan Lesmana Adi PutraPutri Ekaresty Haes

<p><strong><em>Purpose – </em></strong><em>Mempawah Mangrove Park is a mangrove forest area empowered as an ecosystem that always attracts tourists. The problem of partners is that this eco-universe does not yet have a website as a platform to provide information and introduce this tourist attraction digitally.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Design/methodology/approach – </em></strong><em>The method of the activity is conducted in the form of initial observation through interviews and surveys at the activity location, followed by the formulation of activities. The implementation of the PKM includes socialization, training, website installation, and activity evaluation.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Findings – </em></strong><em>Dedication activities to the community with the theme Development and Implementation of Website Tourism Mangrove parks have resulted in a significant improvement in the marketing efficiency of this tourist site.The evaluation was conducted to staff and prospective visitors of Mangrove Park in the form of a questionnaire to measure the success of implementation. On the activities there is marketing efficiency through the development of website, as well as the correct implementation strategy.</em> </p> <p><strong><em>Originality/value – </em></strong><em>Initially, the promotion success rate was only around 46.67%, but after creating a Mangrove Park profile website, the promotion success rate increased to 84.89%.</em></p>Ilhamsyah Ilhamsyah

<p><strong><em>Purpose – </em></strong><em>This study aims to develop students' ability to understand and document cultural history through photo essay-making training for Komunitas Pelajar Sejarah (KOPAJA) SMA Tugu Malang</em></p> <p><strong><em>Design/methodology/approach –</em></strong><em>This activity had three stages consisting planning, implementation, and evaluation. Planning was designed to ensure the activity could be run smoothly. Activity implementation comprised of theory sessions (material delivery and discussion), field practice (walking tour), and editing sessions (composing photo essays in groups).</em></p> <p><strong><em>Findings –</em></strong><em>The finding shows a significant improvement in the participants' photography skills and visual narrative ability, as well as an increased appreciation of the cultural history of the colonial period. Participants are expected to be at the forefront of tourism. They are expected to open new jobs in tourism</em></p> <p><strong><em>Originality/value – </em></strong><em>The originality of this activity lies in the interdisciplinary approach that combines elements of history and visual arts, which not only enriches history learning methods in schools but also inspires students to explore and document their cultural heritage. <p><strong><em>Purpose –</em></strong><em> Community service activities at TK ABA Purwosari showed the importance of using digital tools and training teachers to optimise technology and create interactive content in early childhood education. The collaborative effort between the community service team of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo and PCA Purwosari shows digital marketing training is needed to improve school reputation and teachers‘ digital skills which in accordance with this objective includes improving teachers’ digital capabilities and the application of digital marketing strategies to improve educational outcomes and school reputation.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Methodology –.</em></strong><em> This mentoring and training is to equip educators with skills in educational technology and digital promotion strategies so that they can improve student learning outcomes and raise awareness about school enterprises. The program includes direct instruction, observation, interviews, stakeholder coordination, evaluation through focus groups and questionnaires.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Findings –</em></strong><em> The program significantly improved teachers' skills in creating engaging promotional content and learning materials. Training provided includes using Canva for presentations, CapCut for videos, Instagram for promotions, and Google My Business for visibility. Tools such as Kahoot and Math Playground enhance interactive learning, while paper crafts boost creativity. <p><strong><em>Purpose – </em></strong><em>This article presents a community service initiative focused on enhancing financial management at SADE Arch Design & Building Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the implementation of a unique financial management application</em><em>.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Design/methodology/approach – </em></strong><em>The service activities spanned four stages: conducting Focus Group Discussions, developing the application, introducing it to partners, and evaluating its usage. The approach involved delivering both the developed financial management application and comprehensive training to the SADE Arch Design & Building MSMEs.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Findings – </em></strong><em>The result of this service activity is the establishment of a financial management application equipped with various features that help SADE Arch Design & Building in preparing financial reports more easily and improve their financial management skills. In addition, this activity also helps SADE Arch Design & Building in improving financial understanding, practical application, measuring performance, strategic planning, and legal compliance.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Originality/value – </em></strong><em>This service activity has a positive impact on improving the financial literacy of MSMEs, especially SADE Arch Design & Building, through the development of Microsoft Excel-based financial management applications. <p><strong><em>Purpose – </em></strong><em>Education AUM is the largest in number compared to other AUMs. The Batu City education AUM consists of seven schools that are partners in this service. As per ISAK (Interpretation of Financial Accounting Standards) number 335, the partner has failed to submit a financial report. In addition to not filing a financial report, the partner is still only able to record cash in and cash out. It means that performance cannot be compared to last year's performance, nor can the efficacy and efficiency of the budget that has been set be determined. To further compound the inefficiency of financial report preparation, a large number of these service partners continue to prepare financial statements using Excel rather than accounting software. Their failure to submit financial reports has had an additional effect.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Design/methodology/approach – </em></strong><em>Methods for problem-solving are carried out in various stages, namely: socialization, discussion, training, mentoring, and evaluation.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Findings – </em></strong><em>Based on this activity, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the knowledge of financial governance and the expertise of partners in preparing financial reports using integrated accounting software for the financial statements of the Muhammadiyah regional leadership of Batu City.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Originality/value –</em></strong><em> This service is carried out to help schools under the management of AUM Education prepare financial reports in accordance with ISAK (Interpretation of Financial Accounting Standards).</em></p>Ahmad Waluya JatiSri Wahjuni LatifahWardatul Wardatul

<p><strong>Purpose –</strong> This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of small fish farmers in Parepare City in adopting maggots as an effective and affordable alternative feed. In addition, reducing dependence on expensive commercial feed will provide significant economic benefits for fish farmers and positively affect environmental sustainability.</p> <p><strong>Design/methodology/approach –</strong> The method includes identifying target groups for small-scale tilapia and catfish farmers, as well as training and workshops on maggot cultivation techniques and their use as fish feed. Technical assistance is provided to ensure efficient and environmentally friendly maggot production practices, focusing on using household and market waste as raw materials.</p> <p><strong>Findings –</strong> The results of this activity show a significant increase in farmers' understanding of feed diversification and reduced production costs. The participants succeeded in applying maggot-rearing techniques using the stacked bucket method and managing organic waste for maggot production. Participant evaluation revealed that 82% had knowledge of the potential of maggots as an alternative feed, and 100% understood black fly breeding techniques for maggot production.</p> <p><strong>Originality/value –</strong> Using maggots from organic waste supports more sustainable fish farming practices, reduces the carbon footprint by utilizing organic household or market waste, and helps overcome waste management problems in Parepare City.</p>SuhermanMuhammad Jurhadi KadirNurul MutmainnahZulfiani

<p><strong><em>Purpose – </em></strong><em>The purpose of this PKM (Community Service) activity is to increase literacy in the implementation of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in assisting in preparing learning plans for teachers in SMA Negeri 15 Semarang</em></p> <p><strong><em>Design/methodology/approach – </em></strong><em>The STAR method is used in this PKM activity. At stage S (Situation), teacher needs are analyzed through discussion methods with the head of the curriculum. In stage T (Task), a mapping of activities is carried out that needs to be carried out to answer the needs that have been analyzed previously. The next step, namely A (Action), is the implementation stage. The final phase is R (Result) where the team provides feedback on the participants' work/products at this stage. The object of this activity are the teachers of SMA N 15 Semarang</em></p> <p><strong><em>Findings – </em></strong><em>The PKM activities ran smoothly and even the enthusiasm of the teachers/participants was visible. <p><strong><em>Purpose – </em></strong><em>This service program aims to increase the application of digital technology in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector which is increasingly important in the industrial era 4.0 to increase competitiveness and business sustainability. This research aims to analyze the implementation of digital business strategies in MSMEs in Dilem Gondang Village, Mojokerto.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Design/methodology/approach – </em></strong><em>The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation and literature study.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Findings – </em></strong><em>The research results show that the majority of MSMEs in Dilem Gondang Village have started using digital technology, such as social media, marketplaces and digital financial applications, to support their marketing and business management. However, there are still challenges such as limited access to technology, low digital literacy, and a lack of competent human resources in managing digital-based businesses.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Originality/value – </em></strong><em>This research recommends increasing digital training and education for MSME players, as well as support from local governments in providing adequate digital infrastructure. <p><strong><em>Purpose – </em></strong>This socialization and training activity aims to motivate business actors to continue to improve product quality and maintain food safety standards, as well as provide information, knowledge, and technical aspects of managing halal certificates so that Pucangsari village MSME products can develop further and improve the economy of the community and village.</p> <p><strong><em>Design/methodology/approach – </em></strong>The method of implementing community service uses a survey, socialization, training, and evaluation approach. Socialization and training activities were carried out on July 14, 2024 at the Pucangsari village hall, after the socialization and training activities were continued with evaluation activities of the socialization and training activities. The evaluation results are used to improve the implementation of further training and the mentoring process after the program ends</p> <p><strong><em>Findings – </em></strong>The result of this community service activity is that business actors in Pucangsari village gain knowledge and information on the importance of food safety and the halal certification process for food products, beverages and livestock slaughter results. Knowledge and management of halal certification has increased among business actors, this is indicated by their willingness to immediately take care of halal certification for their products</p> <p><strong><em>Originality/value – </em></strong>Halal certificates are no longer foreign to the community, especially in the Pucangsari village community. However, only 3 UMKM have halal certificates for their products. This indicates that business actors' awareness and limited knowledge of halal certification is still low. Therefore, this community service activity is important to be carried out so that business actors in Puscangsari increase their awareness and knowledge of halal certification so that the number of products with halal certification will increase.</p>Wenny Mamilianti
