SELF ESTEEM ANTARA IBU RUMAH TANGGA YANG BEKERJA DENGAN YANG TIDAK BEKERJA

Self-esteem ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja dengan yang tidak bekerja adalah komponen evaluatif dari konsep diri yang terdiri dari evaluasi positif dan negatif tentang dirinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan self-esteem antara Ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja memiliki penghasilan sendiri serta dapat mengembangkan bakat yang ia miliki dengan ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bekerja. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja dan yang tidak bekerja di kota Balikpapan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala. Metode analisa data yang digunakan yaitu teknik t-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, maka diketahui bahwa ada perbedaan self-esteem yang sangat signifikan (p=0,000) antara ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja dengan ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bekerja, yaitu ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja memiliki self-esteem lebih tinggi yang ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata (mean) sebesar (x = 118,66) daripada ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bekerja sebesar (x= 98,10).

Self-esteem housewife who works with housewife not going to work is the evaluative component of self-concept consisting of positive and negative evaluations of their self. The aimed of this study is to know self esteem between Housewife who works have own income, can also develop the talent and the housewife who not going for work doesn’t have a good experience in working as a housewife This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were mothers who work and households who not going work in Balikpapan city. Methods of collecting the data is using the scale. Methods of data analysis used the t-test technique. Based on the results of the research have been implemented that, it is known that there are differences in self-esteem are highly significant (p = 0.000) among housewives who worked with housewife who not going for work, from that housewife who worked to have higher self-esteem it shown from the average (mean) for (x = 118.66) and than housewife who not going for work is (x = 98.10).
