PENINGKATAN RELASI SOSIAL MELALUI SOCIAL SKILL THERAPY PADA PENDERITA SCHIZOPHRENIA KATATONIK

Angka penderita Schizophrenia di Indonesia pada 25 tahun yang lalu diperkirakan 1/1000 penduduk dengan proyeksi 25 tahun mendatang mencapai 3/1000 penduduk. Seorang penderita schizophrenia harus didorong untuk bergaul dengan orang lain dengan maksud agar ia tidak mengasingkan diri lagi, karena bila menarik diri penderita dapat membentuk kebiasaan yang kurang baik. Social skills therapy berguna untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sosial, kemampuan memenuhi diri sendiri, latihan praktis dan komunikasi interpersonal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efek dari penerapan Social skills therapy kepada penderita Schizophrenia katatonik terutama terhadap relasi sosialnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian berupa studi kasus. Hasil pelaksanaan social skills therapy adalah subyek penelitian mampu menunjukkan respon berupa uluran tangan untuk berjabat tangan dan subyek mampu mengadakan interaksi timbal balik berupa senyuman ketika diberi pertanyaan. Sessi terapi yang sempat terhenti menyebabkan perubahan yang telah terbentuk pada subyek kembali seperti semula saat terapi belum dilaksanakan. Hasil dari intervensi berupa social skills therapy akan lebih baik bila sessi terapi dilaksanakan secara berkesinambungan dan pihak keluarga juga ikut berperan aktif dalam pelaksanaan terapi.

Number of people with Schizophrenia in Indonesia in the last 25 years is estimated to 1/1000 with a projected population of 25 years reaches 3/1000 population. A person with schizophrenia should be encouraged to get along with others with the intention that he does not alienate himself, because when he pulled away he can form bad habits. Social skills therapy is useful for improving social skills , ability to meet yourself, practical exercises and interpersonal communication. This study aimed to examine the effects of the adoption of the Social skills therapy to patients with catatonic schizophrenia , especially the social relations . This study uses a case study research . The results of the implementation of social skills therapy are able to study subjects showed a response in the form of a helping hand to shake hands and the subjects were able to hold a reciprocal interaction in the form of a smile when asked a question . Therapy session was stopped cause changes that have formed on the subject back to normal when therapy has not been implemented . Results of a social skills intervention therapy would be better if the therapy sessions conducted continuously and the family also play an active role in the implementation of the therapy .
