KONTROL DIRI DAN PERILAKU KONSUMTIF PADA SISWA SMA (DITINJAU DARI LOKASI SEKOLAH)

Setiap orang memiliki kebutuhan hidup yang berbeda-beda. Sehingga dari kebutuhan hidup yang berbeda itulah, setiap orangpun berbeda dalam merespon untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. ada yang memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut secara wajar, dan tidak sedikit dengan cara berlebihan. Dengan cara belanja berlebihan itulah yang memunculkan perilaku konsumtif. Ditambah dengan maraknya Mall dan Departement Store yang ada di sekitar kita saat ini, membuat seseorang mudah mencari dan membeli barang yang mereka inginkan. Tentu perlu adanya kontrol diri dalam individu untuk mengurangi perilaku konsumtif tersebut.Tujuan dari penelitian ini sendiri adalah mengetahui perbedaan kontrol diri dan perilaku konsumtif pada siswa SMA yang bersekolah di dekat Mall dan jauh dari mall. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode non-tes yaitu skala Perilaku konsumtif dan skala kontrol diri dengan model skala likert. Sampel di ambil dari dua sekolah dan masing-masing sekolah terdapat 153 subyek penelitian. Hasil penenelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang bersekolah berdekatan dengan mall memiliki tingkat perilaku konsumtif yang lebih tinggi di bandingkan siswa yang bersekolah jauh dengan mall (F=4.616; Sig=0.032; Sig<0.05). Sedangkan dalam kontrol diri sama-sama memiliki tingkat kontrol diri yang tinggi (F=0.003; Sig=0.959;Sig>0.05).

Every person has a different need for a life. So from that different need of life, every single person is different in response to meet those needs. there is a reasonable basis to meet those needs, and not a little with excessive way. With the way that led to excessive spending consumer behavior. Coupled with the rampant Mall and Department Store are all around us today, makes someone easy to find and buy the things they want. The purpose of this research was to find out the difference self-control and consumer behavior in high school students who attend school near the Mall and away from the mall. Surely the need for self-control in the individual to reduce the consumptive behavior. This research uses a non-test methode that is the scale of consumer behavior and self-control scale with a Likert scale models. Samples taken from two schools and each school there are 153 research subjects. Results of the research showed that students who attend school close to the mall has a level of consumer behavior is higher compared with the students who attend school away from the mall (F=4.616; Sig=0.032; Sig<0.05). While in control of themselves have high levels of self-control is equally high (F=0.003; Sig=0.959;Sig>0.05).
