KEBERSYUKURAN DENGAN JOB INSECURITY PADA KARYAWAN

Perubahan dalam dunia ekonomi dan bisnis seringkali terjadi. Diantara perubahan tersebut adalah restrukturisasi, merger, dan downsizing yang dijumpai pada beberapa perusahaan. Akibat dari perubahan yang terjadi adalah job insecurity pada karyawan. Bagaimana karyawan mengalami job insecurity berkaitan dengan faktor personal atau disposisional. Kebersyukuran merupakan salah satu faktor disposisional yang dapat mengurangi terjadinya job insecurity pada karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubugan antara kebersyukuran dengan job insecurity pada karyawan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 214 karyawan dari tiga perusahaan yang diambil dengan teknik sampel insidental. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala GRAT dan JIS-I, selanjutnya dianalisa dengan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif signifikan antara kebersyukuran dengan job insecurity pada karyawan (r = -0,168, p = 0,014 < 0,05) hal ini berarti bahwa semakin tinggi kebersyukuran maka semakin rendah job insecurity pada karyawan. Kebersyukuranmemberisumbangan efektif sebesar 2,82% terhadap job insecurity.

Some changes in the economic and business world happen quite often. These changes are restructuring, mergers, and downsizing which can be found in some companies. The consequence of these changes is job insecurity felt by employees. Employees’ job insecurity can be caused by personal or dispositional factors. Gratitude is one of dispositional factors that can reduce the occurrence of employees’job insecurity. This research aimed to find the correlation of gratitude and job insecurity. This research was acorrelational research and the subjects were 214 employees of three companies. They were recruited by incidental sampling technique. Instruments used to gather the data were GRAT and JIS-I scales. The data analysis method was the product moment correlation method. The result indicated there is significant negative correlationbetween gratitude with job insecurity among the employees (r = -0,168, p= 0,014 < 0,05.). This means that the higher the level of gratitude then the lower the level of job insecurity among them.
