Abstract

Kekerasan dalam rumah tangga meningkat setiap tahunnya dan membawa dampak beragam bagi yang melakukan, korban, maupun yang menyaksikan. Dampak yang muncul pada saksi kekerasan ini adalah terpengaruhnya harga diri dan munculnya perilaku agresivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara harga diri dan kecenderungan agresi pada remaja saksi kekerasan dalam rumah tangga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan subjek berjumlah 212 orang dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala harga diri dan skala kecenderungan agresi dengan metode analisa data product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tidak ada hubungan negatif antara harga diri dan kecenderungan agresi (r = -0.134 dan p = 0.051 ; p > 0.05).

Domestic violence increase every year and had implications for the performer, the victim, and the witness. Impact appears to witness this violence is impact of self-esteem and the emergence of aggressive behavior. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and aggression in adolescent who witness domestic violence. This research is a quantitative study with 212 subject with a purposive sampling technique. Methods of data collection using self-esteem scale and aggression scale with product moment method of data analysis. Result showed there is no significant negative relationship between self-esteem and aggression(r = -0.134 and p = 0.051 ; p > 0.05).
