PERBEDAAN PERILAKU PROSOSIAL MAHASISWADITINJAUDARI TEMPAT TINGGAL (STUDI PADA MAHASISWA YANG TINGGAL DI ASRAMA DAN YANG TINGGAL DENGAN ORANG TUA)

Sebagai makhluk sosial, tentunya setiap orang harus memiliki perilaku prososial karena pasti akan membutuhkan bantuan orang lain. Namun pada kenyataannya, prososial pada masyarakat termasuk di kalangan mahasiswa semakin menurun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan prososial mahasiswa yang tinggal di asrama dan tinggal bersama orang tua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode non-tes dengan menggunakan skala prososial dengan model skala likert. Jumlah subjek yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 205 orang dengan rincian 103 orang subjek yang tinggal bersama orang tua dan 102 subjek yang tinggal di asrama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan prososial antara mahasiswa yang tinggal di asrama dan mahasiswa yang tinggal bersama orang tua. Perilaku prososial mahasiswa yang tinggal di asrama lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang tinggal bersama orang tua dengan nilai t sebesar -15,494 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000.

Being a social creature, it is reasonable if everyone must have pro-social behavior because everyone must need help from others. But in reality, pro-social behavior in the community, including college students, has decreased. Research aims at understanding the difference of pro-social behavior between the college students who live at dorm and those who live with their parent. Method of research is non-test using pro-social scale with Likert scale model. The number of subject is 205 subjects. On detail, 103 subjects are living with the parent and 102 subjects are living at dorm. Result of research indicates that there is different pro-social behavior between college students who live at dorm and those who live with the parent. Pro-social behavior of college students who live at dorm is higher than those who live with the parent as shown by t-value of -15,494 and significance level of 0.000.
