Pengaruh Adverse Childhood Experiences terhadap Kecenderungan Depresi pada Individu Dewasa Awal di Jawa Timur

Data WHO pada tahun 2023 menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 280 juta orang di seluruh dunia mengalami depresi. Diperkirakan sekitar 3.7% orang dari populasi di Indonesia dinyatakan menderita depresi. Dilansir dari Databoks, Jawa Timur tercatat memiliki angka depresi sebesar 4.5%, mendekati provinsi dengan angka depresi tertinggi di Indonesia. Berdasar dari beberapa studi terdahulu, salah satu faktor penyebab depresi pada individu dewasa adalah Adverse Childhood Experiences. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh Adverse Childhood Experiences terhadap kecenderungan depresi pada individu dewasa awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah individu dewasa awal berjumlah 106 subjek yang pernah mengalami Adverse Childhood Experiences dan berdomisili di Jawa Timur, subjek diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala Adverse Childhood Experiences Scale dan skala Beck Depression Inventory II. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan Uji Regresi Linier Sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Adverse Childhood Experiences berkontribusi positif secara signifikan terhadap kecenderungan depresi pada dewasa awal sebesar 14.8%. Semakin tinggi Adverse Childhood Experiences, maka semakin tinggi pula kecenderungan depresi. Selain itu, dimensi kekerasan berkontribusi positif sebesar 12.5%, sedangkan dimensi disfungsi keluarga berkontribusi positif sebesar 7.8% terhadap kecenderungan depresi pada dewasa awal.
