Abstract
Asphalt concrete is often used as a surface layer for anticipating the heavy traffic load and
high, it is intended to obtain a coating that is able to contribute to the measured bearing capacity.
Asphalt concrete mix composed of continuously graded aggregate and asphalt binding material,
where the quality of asphalt concrete in the field will be affected by manufacturing process in the
AMP, distribution and compaction in field. This study aims to determine the effect of immersion in
the concrete mix to the Marshall stability value. The variation of immersion time used in this study
2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours. The results showed that there is a very strong influence on
dipping against Marshall stability value as shown by the equation Y = - 10.67 x + 228.85 and will
increase at 24 and 72 hours of immersion., While for the value of the air cavity will reach below the
requirements after the age of 20 hours of immersion.
