ABSTRACT

This study examines the objectivity of TVOne news about PSSI cases through the perspective of sports journalists. The phenomenon that the news surrounding this case tend not impartial be interesting to study, especially if hooked with journalistic ethics from the perspective of media workers. This study used a qualitative approach with constructivism paradigm. Techniques of data collection using interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the views of the trend, if compared to the year 2012 and in 2013, then in 2011 became the year in which the TVOne news relatively balanced and objective. This is caused by a conflict of interest at the level of ownership TVOne, Bakrie Group, the management of PSSI. Objectivity of this news, not only news that came in the box is displayed, but also in the process of reporting and news processing. In the process of reporting, it was found that there is some manipulation in the selection of sources interviewed by reporter TVOne. In addition, processing until the broadcast news also got a lot of influence from the editor that accommodates the interests of the elite media.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang obyektifitas pemberitaan TVOne tentang kasus-kasus PSSI melalui persepektif wartawan olahraga. Fenomena bahwa pemberitaan seputar kasus ini cenderung tidak berimbang menjadi hal yang menarik untuk diteliti, apalagi jika disangkutkan dengan etika jurnalistik dari perspektif para pekerja media. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktifis. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dilihat dari tren, jika dibanding tahun 2012 dan tahun 2013, maka tahun 2011 menjadi tahun dimana pemberitaan TVOne relatif tidak berimbang dan tidak objektif. Hal ini disebabkan oleh adanya konflik kepentingan pada level kepemilikan TVOne, Bakrie Group, dengan kepengurusan PSSI.  Ketidakobyektivan pemberitaan ini, tidak hanya terdapat dalam kemasan berita yang ditampilkan, tetapi juga dalam proses peliputan dan pengolahan berita. Pada proses peliputan, didapati bahwa terdapat beberapa manipulasi dalam pemilihan narasumber yang diwawancarai oleh reporter TVOne. Selain itu, proses pengolahan berita sampai pada penayangannya juga mendapat banyak pengaruh dari redaksi yang mengakomodasi kepentingan elit media.
