ABSTRACT

As the mandate contained in the Act NO: 20 of 2003 on National Education System which states that national education serves to develop the ability and character development and a dignified civilization in order to educate the nation. Character education obtained from early childhood education to higher education may push them into the nation’s children who have a superior personality as expected in the national education goals. Methods of data collection in this study, namely: observation, interview, documentation. Strategy implementation of character education in kindergarten ABA 13 Malang can be seen with a variety of activities, as follows: (1) Integrate into teaching and learning, such as habituation to the cultivation of attitudes and behaviors. (2) Through Personal Development Activity. Self-development activities include a variety of activities in accordance with the interests and talents of students, such as: Extra-curricular activities (dance, sports, art), Activities habituation (routine through flag ceremonies and worship together), programmed activities through pesantren Ramadan, examplary through guidance order clothing uniform), fostering discipline, high moral values construct, constructing culture of reading, and construct clean culture in the classroom and school environment, activities nationalism through the celebration of independence day, memorial day hero, memorial day national educational and outdoor activities learning and training through the study appeal.

ABSTRAK

Sebagaimana amanah yang tertuang dalam Undang-Undang NO: 20 tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional yang menyatakan bahwa pendidikan nasional berfungsi mengembangkan kemampuan dan membentuk watak serta peradaban bangsa yang bermartabat dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Pendidikan karakter yang diperoleh sejak pendidikan anak usia dini hingga perguruan tinggi dapat mendorong mereka menjadi anak-anak bangsa yang memiliki kepribadian unggul seperti diharapkan dalam tujuan pendidikan nasional. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: Observasi,wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi. Strategi pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di TK ABA 13 Kota Malang dapat dilihat dengan berbagai kegiatan sebagai-berikut: (1) Mengintegrasikan ke dalam proses belajar mengajar, seperti pembiasaan dengan penanaman sikap dan perilaku.(2) Melalui Kegiatan Pengembangan Diri. Kegiatan pengembangan diri meliputi beragam kegiatan sesuai dengan minat dan bakat siswa, seperti: Kegiatan ekstra kurikuler (tari, olahraga, seni),Kegiatan pembiasaan (kegiatan rutin melalui upacara bendera dan ibadah bersama),Kegiatan terprogram melalui pesantren Ramadhan, keteladanan melalui pembinaan ketertiban pakaian seragam), pembinaan kedisiplinan, penanaman nilai akhlak mulia, penanaman budaya minat baca, penanaman budaya bersih di kelas dan lingkungan sekolah,Kegiatan nasionalisme melalui perayaan hari kemerdekaan RI, peringatan hari pahlawan, peringatan hari pendidikan nasional,dan Kegiatan outdoor learning dan training melalui studi banding.
