Therefore, efforts to reduce dependence on the dominance of fossil energy by switching partly to new and renewable energy (NRE) through an energy mix is necessary, especially for the industrial sector. The options are to buy, to make, or to acquire technology. Therefore, this paper aims to conduct a study to choose from the available options for a small Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT), namely Tulip VAWT, and to assess its effectiveness by focusing on the product/ hardware only. The selection uses a subjective method and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method on installability, usability, affordability, availability, and maintainability. The results show that with an AHP score of 0.65, Technology Acquisition (TA) is the best choice compared to buying with a score of 0.322 or making with a score of 0.296. This means that the five factors used to assess the effectiveness of tulip VAWT have influenced the decision to buy, complete, or acquire the product/technology.
2024-02-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Gembong Baskoro, Edhie Sarwono, Galih Akup Subekti, Dena Hendriana, Henry Nasution https://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/industri/article/view/31491 Energy-efficient permutation flow shop scheduling problem: A systematic literature review 2024-01-17T22:01:29+07:00 Dana Marsetiya Utama fund.1986@gmail.com Meri Dines Primayesti dana@umm.ac.id Sabila Zahra Umamy dana@umm.ac.id Bunga Milenia Nur Kholifa dana@umm.ac.id
Energy-efficient scheduling is an important problem in the industrial world because improper scheduling can increase energy consumption. One of the production scheduling problems is the Permutation Flow Shop Scheduling Problem (PFSP). This article tries to review research on energy-efficient PFSP to provide a comprehensive review of trends and research gaps in energy-efficient PFSP. A systematic literature review (SLR) was used to conduct this research survey, and 123 articles were collected from 2011-2023. This SLR classifies articles based on publication year, type, objective function, and optimization method used. The results of the literature review analysis show a significant increase every year for energy-efficient PFSP, and multi-objective problems are the dominant problems studied. Based on the analysis of solutions to solve energy efficient PFSP, metaheuristic procedures are the procedures that contribute the largest to solving energy efficient PFSP, and the objective function that is popularly used is to minimize total energy consumption. In addition to this, this study presents a gap research analysis and future research directions for energy-efficient PFSP.
2024-02-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Dana Marsetiya Utama, Meri Dines Primayesti, Sabila Zahra Umamy, Bunga Milenia Nur Kholifa https://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/industri/article/view/28212 Capacitated Location Allocation Problem of Solar Power Generation in Indonesia using Particle Swarm Optimization 2023-09-22T23:26:17+07:00 Arya Wijna Astungkatara aryawijna@mail.ugm.ac.id Hamzah Fath hamzahfath@mail.ugm.ac.id Oktaviana Putri oktavianaputri@mail.ugm.ac.id Anak Agung Istri Anindita Nanda Yana anakagungistrianinditanandayana@mail.ugm.ac.id Nur Mayke Eka Normasari Mayke@ugm.ac.id Andiny Trie Oktavia andinytrieoktavia@mail.ugm.ac.id Achmad Pratama Rifai achmad.p.rifai@ugm.ac.id
Indonesia has abundant potential of solar energy. The decrease on cost of solar power generation components can bolster the development of solar power plants. Analysing the feasibility of using solar power plants as a primary source of renewable energy in Indonesia, especially in Sumatra Island, is important due to its geographical characteristics. One of important aspects in developing solar power plants is determining the suitable location of power plant and the allocation of the electricity generated to the regions. Therefore, this study considers the Capacitated Location Allocation Problem (CLAP) to determine the optimal placement of solar power plants in Sumatra Island, with the objective of minimizing investment and transmission costs. To address the problem, we explore three metaheuristics, namely Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Simulated Annealing (SA) and Large Neighborhood Search (LNS). The results obtained by these metaheuristic methods show significant differences in cost, with SA providing the best solution with the lowest cost. By solving the CLAP to obtain optimal solar power plant placement, the investment and transmission cost can be minimized, while enhancing the region's resilience in the context of implementing distributed generation.
2024-02-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Arya Wijna Astungkatara, Hamzah Fath, Oktaviana Putri, Anak Agung Istri Anindita Nanda Yana, Nur Mayke Eka Normasari, Andiny Trie Oktavia, Achmad Pratama Rifai
