Therefore, this study aims to observe how the mass media from Arab countries represent their position towards the Covid-19 pandemic through the news they release. In this study, the data is retrieved from Aljazeera and Al-Ahram. To find out their thoughts and opinions regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, the representative speech act framework presented by Yule (1996) and Searle (1979) is used. Meanwhile, the descriptive-analytical method on that news is relied, starting from providing data, classifying, analyzing, and presenting the results of the analysis. The result shows that there are four types of representative speech acts found in the Arabic news discourse, they are statement of fact, assertion, conclusion, and description. The writers represent their thoughts and opinions by choosing certain verbs or cognate objects, either agreeing or disputing some opinions, as well as citing various news sources or events that are considered valid and credible. Moreover, the comparison of the results from the two news sources did not show a significant difference because the language of these two newspapers is the Modern Standard Arabic (MSA).
Muhammad Lukman Arifianto, Hanik Mahliatussikah, Nur Anisah Ridwan, Ibnu Samsul Huda, Iqbal Fathi Izzudin, Nadia Fatchu Ilmi Copyright (c) 2022 Izdihar, Muhammad Lukman Arifianto, Hanik Mahliatussikah, Nur Anisah Ridwan, Ibnu Samsul Huda, Iqbal Fathi Izzudin, Nadia Fatchu Ilmi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/izdihar/article/view/18161 Wed, 20 Apr 2022 00:00:00 +0700 The Existence of Majaz Mursal in Surah Al-Baqarah from the Perspective of ‘Ilmu Al-Bayan https://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/izdihar/article/view/18682
This study analyzed Majaz mursal contained in Surah Al-Baqarah according to Bayan Science Perspective. Majaz mursal is part of majaz lughawi which discusses the use of lafazd not for its original meaning because there is alaqah which is in addition to likeness and there is also currynah that blocks understanding with the meaning of haqiqi (original). Skinner. This research was a literature review that explores information about the role of language acquisition theory in learning Arabic, especially the idea of behaviorism according to BF Skinner's view. This research showed that the theory of BF Skinner's language acquisition plays a role in learning Arabic because it can help teachers determine what kind of technology media and methods will be used by teachers in learning Arabic. In selecting technology media and learning methods, Arabic teachers should use Synchronous Learning-based media and techniques as much as possible. Synchronous Learning is online learning with direct communication, such as using the Zoom cloud meeting application. Because the purpose of learning Arabic can be achieved if there is habituation in the four language skills, the teachers can also determine the reward or reinforcement for Arabic language learners according to the learners' psychological condition so that learners will be encouraged to improve their language skills even in online learning conditions continuously.
Muhammad Sya'dullah Fauzi, Adik Laila Fitri Nawangsari, Moh.
