Background: Medical students are prone to poor sleep quality, especially in the first and second academic years due to stress associated with physical, mental, and emotional fatigue. To enhance and improve sleep quality, physical exercise can be beneficial. One of the most effective and easily accessible forms of physical exercise is jogging. Objective: To determine the effect of jogging exercise on improving sleep quality of Students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, class of 2022. Method: The research method employed is experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. Students from the 2022 class of the Medical Faculty were given instructions to engage in jogging exercises regularly for one month, 2 to 3 times a week, with each session lasting a minimum of 20 minutes. Sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. All obtained data were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed ranks test. Results and Discussion: The study results indicate a significance value of 0.000. This suggests that with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05), it can be concluded that there is an effect of jogging exercise on improving sleep quality of Students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, class of 2022. Conclusion: There is an effect of jogging exercise on improving sleep quality of Students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, class of 2022
