https://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/joesment/article/view/43143

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed public information-consumption patterns. The shift in audience preference from long-form text-based news toward fast, accessible visual content has contributed to declining interest in in-depth reporting and has affected the popularity of local news media. At the same time, competition has intensified with the rise of homeless media and content aggregators on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, which frequently disseminate information without adhering to journalistic verification standards. These dynamics compel local media outlets, including Suarabanyuurip.com, to adapt by employing more creative and audience-responsive communication strategies. This study aims to analyze the impact of changing information-consumption preferences on readership levels and the competitive position of Suarabanyuurip.com, as well as to formulate Instagram- and TikTok-based content marketing strategies integrated with the principles of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC). These strategies are intended to strengthen brand awareness, enhance interest in long-form news content, and improve the competitiveness of local media in the digital era. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through content observation and literature review. The findings indicate that news visualisation, content-format adaptation based on platform characteristics, and message consistency through IMC constitute effective strategies for increasing audience reach, engagement, and loyalty toward local media. This study offers theoretical contributions to the development of Content Marketing and IMC scholarship within the context of local journalism and provides practical benefits for Suarabanyuurip.com in designing more adaptive and sustainable communication strategies.
Mugito

https://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/joesment/article/view/42876

This community service program aims to improve the quality of village organizational activity management through strengthening the human resource management (HRM) capacity of village officials and organizational managers. The program was implemented in Panembahan Village, Kraton District, Yogyakarta City, targeting village officials, neighborhood association (RT/RW) administrators, and representatives of youth organizations. The implementation methods included needs assessment, HRM training, focus group discussions, and mentoring on the application of organizational work tools. Program evaluation was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants’ competency improvement, participatory observation, and participant satisfaction questionnaires. Of the 30 invited participants, 26 attended the program (86.7%). The evaluation results indicated an overall increase in participants’ competencies, with an average improvement of 36%, and the highest increase was observed in activity planning skills at 42%. In addition, the program produced 12 village organizational administrative documents, including organizational structures, job descriptions, activity report formats, work agendas, and draft standard operating procedures for public services. Participant satisfaction was categorized as high, with an average score of 4.32 on a 1–5 Likert scale. These findings demonstrate that HRM development accompanied by practice-based mentoring contributes to initial improvements in planning, coordination, and administrative management of village organizations, although sustained impacts still require continuous mentoring.
Asa Sheila Amelia
