Preliminary findings from this study reveal that divorcees encounter significant hardships resulting from stigmatization post-divorce. This stigmatization not only leads to social contempt but also exposes divorcees to verbal and even sexual violence from individuals around them. This research employs a qualitative phenomenological approach to explore (1) the manifestations of stigma against divorcees and (2) the social consequences of divorcee stigma within the Sasak community in Kec. Kopang, Kab. Lombok Tengah. The findings indicate that (1) divorcees face stigma from their communities, experiencing social contempt and ridicule due to their status. Additionally, some participants reported instances of sexual harassment, including receiving inappropriate images via chat from several male acquaintances, one of whom was a relative. Catcalling was also identified as a form of harassment. (2) The presence of this stigma has notable social implications by developing mechanisms of social distancing. The divorcees tend to distance themselves from others through two main strategies: reducing social interactions and by developing a resilient mentality towards the stigma, especially for those who must engage with others for professional reasons.
Riska Mutiah Muhammad Syarifudin Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-09-29 2024-09-29 6 2 10.22219/jp.v6i2.35530 Community Empowerment pada Program One Product One RW (OPOR) Di Kota Cimahi https://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/jurnalpartisipatoris/article/view/36457
The aim of this research is to optimize the community empowerment model in Cimahi City through the One Product One RW (OPR) program after the Covid-19 pandemic. After the Covid-19 pandemic, Cimahi City became one of the cities in West Java Province that was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. It is hoped that by re-implementing the OPOR program, the community will be more efficient and able to compete to create a prosperous Cimahi City. descriptive research method with a Mixed Method Sequential Explanatory model approach. The data collection and processing process will predominantly use a quantitative approach, supported by an explanation of the qualitative approach. The survey results will be processed using SPSS version 20 and Ms. Excel, while the interview data will be processed using NVivo12. The research results for the implementation quality of the One Product One RW (OPOR) Program in Cimahi City in 2023 are at an implementation quality score of 85. A score of 85 for the implementation quality of the OPOR Program indicates high implementation quality. It can be identified that the highest score is in the dimension of compatibility between the user group and the OPOR implementing organization with an implementation quality score of 86.8. , an indicator with 93% of respondents agreeing that the OPOR Program needs to be evaluated if it is to be continued and an indicator with 88.4% of respondents agreeing that the OPOR Program will be continued. This value shows that more respondents tend to want the OPOR program to be evaluated first before continuing. If the OPOR Program is to be continued, note that there needs to be a grouping of participants based on their business clusters, because the implementation of OPOR in 2023 is considered to combine fashion clusters with food, drink and craft value is unfair in terms of assessment weight.
Dewi Kurniasih Apriani Puti Purfini Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-09-30 2024-09-30 6 2 10.22219/jp.v6i2.36457 Feminist Impact via Chinese Social Media https://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/jurnalpartisipatoris/article/view/35900
This paper discusses the impact of feminism on women through the Chinese social media and e-commerce platform—Xiaohongshu. This community is in Kampung Sidosermo Dalam, one of the Islamic area in Surabaya. In everyday social and cultural conditions, women always wear the hijab and men wear koko shirts and sarongs. Women are always constructed as the second social class below men. The social construction that is built is not only agreed upon by men, but women also agree on it. The motto that women live by every day is suwargo nunut neroko katut. That a woman's heaven and hell is with her husband. The aim of the research is to dismantle unfair gender constructions so that hopefully there will be enlightenment leading to correct gender constructions. The research method uses qualitative with a critical ethnographic approach. The data collection technique used in-depth interviews for 15 informant with Sidosermo Dalam figures, kyai, nyai, RT, RW, as well as women who agreed that they were always in the second class. Apart from that, researchers also used participant observation techniques to explore data. The research results show that women have always experienced oppression since childhood. Every day they receive different treatment from men. The doctrine that women are always subordinate to men has been taught to the population from generation to generation. The construction of suwargo nunut neroko katut becomes a guide for interaction. This social construction is built and maintained using religious arguments as legitimacy. This patriarchal and oppressive condition must be immediately changed and corrected by the government, mass organizations and citizens themselves.
Ahmad Ridwan Muhammad Faruki Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-09-29 2024-09-29 6 2 10.22219/jp.v6i2.35888
