Penjahit melakukan pekerjaannya memerlukan ketelitian dan kerapian. Tuntutan ketelitian dan kerapian menjahit dilakukan dengan sikap duduk selama 4 jam di sesi pertama. Ketika penjahit bekerja dengan sikap kerja duduk dan melakukan gerakan yang statis dalam jangka waktu yang lama posisi ini akan meningkatkan kerja dari otot multifidus dan abdominal transversal untuk berkontraksi secara eksentrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak latihan core stability terhadap daya tahan otot lumbal ekstensor penjahit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dengan desain one group pre-test dan post-test. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 10 orang yang ditentukan berdasarkan kriteria inklusi, ekslusi dan drop out. Alat ukur penelitian menggunakan The Biering Sorensen Test of Static Muscular Endurance (BSME) merupakan alat pengukuran berjangka waktu yang digunakan untuk menilai daya tahan ekstensor batang tubuh. Hasil penelitian ini dilakukan uji normalitas dengan shapiro wilk test dan uji hipotesis penelitian dengan uji paired sampel t-test. Hasil shapiro wilk test berdistribusi normal dengan nilai signifikan pre-test 0,782 dan post-test 0,094 serta adanya peningkatan persentase sebesar 54,7%. Hasil uji paired sampel t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikan yaitu p=0,000 yang menandakan terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada daya tahan otot lumbal ekstensor. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan core stability berdampak pada daya tahan otot lumbal ekstensor dalam mempertahankan sikap kerja duduk selama 4 jam.
