Persepsi, penerimaan serta kebolehpercayaan Orang Kurang Upaya terhadap kaunselor dan perkhidmatan kaunseling di Malaysia
Abstract
Kaunseling merupakan medium bagi individu untuk mencari dan menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi. Persoalannya ialah bagaimanakah penerimaan, persepsi serta kebolehpercayaan masyarakat atau klien terhadap kaunselor dan perkhidmatan kaunseling di Malaysia.Sehubungan demikian, kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti penerimaan, persepsi serta kebolehpercayaan klien Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) terhadap kaunselor dan perkhidmatan kaunseling dalam usaha untuk membantu mereka menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi.Kajian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif.Data diperoleh melalui sesi kaunseling kelompok, temu bual, pemerhatian dan catatan yang dilakukan semasa sesi kaunseling dijalankan.Keputusan melaporkan ramai dalam kalangan OKU memberikan persepsi yang berbeza terhadap perkhidmatan kaunseling yang diikuti.Malah, terdapat kekangan dari segi penerimaan dan kebolehpercayaan OKU terhadap kaunselor dan perkhidmatan kaunseling. Seterusnya, kajian ini akan membincangkan mengenai penerimaan, persepsi dan kebolehpercayaan OKU terhadap kaunselor dan perkhidmatan kaunseling yang diikuti dalam usaha membantu mengurangkan bebanan masalah yang dihadapi. Hasil daripada kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi gambaran kepada kaunselor supaya mereka lebih bersedia untuk berdepan dengan klien OKU.
