Penerapan teknik kontrol diri untuk mengurangi konsumsi rokok pada kategori perokok ringan
Abstract
Menghentikan kebiasaan merokok merupakan permasalahan utama para perokok aktif yang mulai menyadari bahaya akibat rokok. Kesulitan untuk berhenti merokok berkaitan dengan kemampuan individu untuk mengontrol dirinya (self-control). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan teknik kontrol diri untuk mengurangi konsumsi rokok. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah rangkaian kasus (case series). Subjek berjumlah 4 orang perokok laki-laki usia dewasa yang biasa merokok tidak lebih dari 10 batang per hari (kategori ringan). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keempat subjek mengalami penurunan konsumsi rokok per hari, yang dapat dilihat dari kondisi awal sebelum diberikan intervensi, kondisi pada proses intervensi, kondisi setelah intervensi dihentikan dan tahap tindak lanjut.
