Mindfulness sebagai mediator antara self-esteem dan fear of missing out

FoMO terkait dengan sejumlah implikasi negatif dan tampaknya mempengaruhi populasi yang lebih muda jauh lebih
nyata daripada individu yang lebih tua. Individu-individu yang lebih muda ini berada pada tahap perkembangan di
mana mereka bereksperimen dengan, atau bergulat dengan diri sendiri kemampuan FoMO untuk mengambil akar
yang kuat bukanlah suatu kebetulan mengingat hasil penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hubungan antara tingkat
keberhargaan diri dan kesadaran diri dengan FoMO. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitaif. Hasil yang
didapatkan adalah peranan tidak langsung self-esteem terhadap fear of missing out didapatkan nilai indirect effect =
-.504 lebih kecil dibanding dengan peranan langsung dengan nilai direct effect = -.456, dilihat dari hasil tersebut dapat
disimpulkan bahwa mindfulness memiliki mediasi yang tidak sempurna anatara self-esteem dengan fear of missing out.
