This study investigates the effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) in improving Psychological Well-Being (PWB) among emerging adults struggling with emotional loneliness. Emotional loneliness refers to deep feelings of isolation and a lack of meaningful emotional connections with others. This study used a mixed methods design, combining quantitative and qualitative data with research design in the form of a single-case experiment (A-B-A design). The technique used in selecting subjects is using purposive sampling technique and the study was conducted on two participants.. Participant selection was based on predefined criteria utilizing the UCLA-Loneliness Scale to gauge the levels of loneliness and Psychological Well Being Scale to know the baseline of their level of PWB. MBCT intervention was given to both participants in eight sessions with a duration of 60-90 minutes for each session. The intervention targets were the cognitive, affective, and behavioural aspects of the two participants related to the emotional loneliness they experienced. MBCT facilitated self-awareness, emotion regulation, and cognitive understanding of loneliness, leading to the development of healthier and more fulfilling emotional relationships. The results of the study show that MBCT can effectively increase psychological well-being in emerging adult whose struggling with emotional loneliness. The implication of this research is that MBCT can help individuals in the early adult age range in reducing emotional loneliness. this also depends on each individual's awareness and intention to rise from the downturn of feelings experienced.
