It is important for parents to play a role in dealing with tantrums in children. One of the ways parents can do that is through effective communication with their children. The purpose of this research is to provide understanding to parents regarding the importance of dialogue in dealing with tantrums in children. This research uses a psychoeducational method called DIHATIMU. There were 8 subjects in this study, 6 women and 2 men who had early childhood and were residents of, Manggung Caturtunggal Village. Data analysis was carried out in this study using the N-gain score and thematic analysis. The research results showed that there were 5 subjects who experienced an increase in score, 2 subjects had a fixed score, and 1 subject experienced a decrease in score. In addition, the results of reflection show that this psychoeducational activity provides benefits to the subject, namely increasing the subject’s knowledge and experience. The subject also began to realize the need to lower the ego, appreciate the child’s work, and the need to communicate from heart to heart to deal with tantrums in children.
