Abstract

Neurosistiserkosis adalah penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh bentuk larva T.solium, meskipun dalam jumlah minimal infeksi ini mampu menimbulkan dampak yang merugikan bahkan kematian. Telah dilakukan análisis DNA terhadap pasien yang telah tinggal pada beberapa negara endemis infeksi taenia solium (cacing pita babi). Hasil pemeriksaan DNA menyebutkan pasien terjangkit infeksi sejak 10 tahun yang lalu saat berada di Nepal.
