HUBUNGAN KADAR GULA DARAH PUASA TERHADAP KADAR PH DAN LAJU ALIRAN SALIVA PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2 DI PUSKESMAS 1 KEMBARAN

Latar belakang: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan penyakit metabolik yang disebabkan oleh adanya defek sekresi insulin ataupun distribusi insulin. Indonesia masuk ke dalam urutan ke-4 besar kategori Top Ten Countries/Territories For Number Of Adults With Diabetes. Berdasarkan IDF (2015), pada tahun 2040 akan terjadi kenaikan kasus diagnosis DM dari 415.000.000 menjadi 642.000.000 kasus. Kondisi hiperglikemia dapat mempengaruhi akumulasi saliva yang berhubungan dengan keseimbangan asam basa mulut dan perubahan fisiologis kelenjar saliva yang dapat mempengaruhi produksi saliva baik komposisi saliva maupun laju aliran saliva yang berlanjut pada perubahan pH saliva. Evaluasi uji saliva berkala dimungkinkan dapat menjadi alternatif pemantauan prognosis terkait kondisi kesehatan oral pada penderita DM
Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara kadar GDP terhadap kadar pH dan laju aliran saliva penderita DM tipe 2 di puskesmas 1 kembaran
Metode: Penelitian analitik observasional dengan rancangan cross-sectional yang melibatkan 28 penderita DM tipe 2 (total sampling), analisa uji korelasi pearson.
Hasil: Karakteristik data rerata dari pH yang diperoleh adalah 6.86, sedangkan karakteristik data penelitian terkait rerata laju aliran saliva terstimulasi adalah 0.66 ml/min.
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan (P = < 0.05) antara GDP terhadap pH (P value – 0.450 ) dan laju aliran saliva (P value – 0.471)
