REKONSTRUKSI KEKUATAN SOSIAL MASYARAKAT LOKAL SEBAGAI STRATEGI PREVENTIF MENANGGULANGI TERORISME

Abstract

Arresting several terror suspects in Indonesia provides a strong signal that terrorist network in Indonesia is still strong enough to be paralyzed. The indication of the strength of terrorist network that is eradication efforts pursued by security forces so
far has not touched the roots of terrorism itself. This is because terrorism is not just ordinary organized crime group neatly and has a full arsenal for combating so it needs only by force of army. It must be realized that terrorism is a form of social movement and thrive in religious culture in Indonesia society. Therefore the strategy of combating terrorist acts needs to involve local community institutions that have a social force which has proved the performance and contribution in history of
public religiosity characteristics. Cultural social potential will function effectively and direct to prevent terrorism. If it works, the process of structural forces is also involved.
