Abstract

Strategy of empowering the community towards people who self-reliant, autonomy, able to overcome the crisis and culture is something that is needed now, but the various efforts that have been implemented empowerment has not yielded significant, it can happen because of the empowerment strategy that is used has not touched the basic elements of empowerment. effective empowerment model needs there is strong synergy between government and elements of society, especially companies whose life is sustained by community support, so the company must have a concern with empowerment of the surrounding communities, known as Corporate Social Responsibility program.
