Discipline with punishment or negative discipline is an old method of discipline, which is now starting to shift to positive discipline implementation. This disciplinary action was enforced by Kuttab Al-Fatih Malang for a reason. This research thus aimed to investigate how and why Kuttab Al-Fatih Malang enforced discipline on students. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study type where the main research focused on how and why. Data collection was done using interviews, observation, documents, and questionnaires. Data validity tests included credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The research was conducted at Kuttab Al-Fatih Lowokwaru, Malang City from February to April 2021. The results showed: (1) KAF Malang implements an adab-based discipline to students by conveying, instilling, habituating, and guiding. The stages of disciplining students consist of observation, faith dialogue, coordination with parents, advice/warnings, letters of reprimand, and sanctions/punishments. The discipline enforcement system is initiated by the teacher/homeroom teacher, head of kuttab, and the sharia council. Student discipline is applied in a balanced manner as it includes preventive, supportive, and corrective aspects. KAF Malang enforces both positive and negative punishments proportionally. (2) Kuttab Al-Fatih Malang takes disciplinary actions against students for these reasons: (a) following and practicing the results of central Kuttab Al-Fatih literacy studies; (b) the spirit of improving education through reconstruction of the past Islamic curricula and education; and (c) to give birth to a brilliant young generation.
Achmad Rofiki Copyright (c) 2024 Salam International Journal of Islamic Education 2024-04-04 2024-04-04 3 1 10.22219/sinjie.v3i1.32565 Moral Formation Through Internalization of Tawheed Value (Case Study at the Bahrul Lahut Ta'lim Council) https://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/sinjie/article/view/32563
. This research aimed to describe the concept of moral formation through the internalization of tauhid values and the implementation of internalization of tawheed values at the Bahrul Lahut Ta'lim Council, Malang City. Likewise, the Al Irsyad Tengaran 7 Islamic Islamic Boarding School, Batu City, has its own uniqueness in implementing habit-based character formation. This research uses qualitative design. As for data collection techniques, researchers employed observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this research were the school principal, head of curriculum, teachers and students. The results of this research indicate that the Al Irsyad Tengaran 7 Islamic Islamic Boarding School in Batu City implements character formation due to the condition of the current young generation which is experiencing a decline in morals, namely the loss of a sense of politeness, reduced empathy or sensitivity towards the environment, and children's indifference to parental orders. The form of implementation uses three models; moral modeling, habituation, and moral acting. The habituation of students is carried out through daily activities, namely by implementing the habit of smiling, greeting and saying hello (known as 3S in Bahasa Indonesia), the habit of living a clean and healthy life, the habit of reading the Asmaul Husna and conducting daily prayers, the habit of being honest, the habit of having a responsible attitude, disciplinary training and Al-Quran literacy habits, which are programmed to be mutually sustainable and implemented continuously.
Ngadiono Ngadiono Copyright (c) 2024 Salam International Journal of Islamic Education 2024-04-04 2024-04-04 3 1 10.22219/sinjie.v3i1.32562
