Penggunaan Model Inquiry dengan Metode Eksperimen dalam Pembelajaran IPA di SMPN 10 Probolinggo

Abstract:
The research objective was to study the changes of students’ natural science learning results after learning using inquiry method with experimental method. This research was conducted at public junior high school 10 Probolinggo with descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research data were the observation of students’ activity, questionnaire from students and students’ learning result test. The result of students’ mastery at cycle I was 72% and cycle II was 80%. The results showed that this method in learning natural science was implemented well relevant to the syntax of learning which was planned. The result of questionnaire given to students showed that overall students were happy learning natural science and overall students learned natural science because of their own will but many students still presumed that natural science lesson was difficult. Based on the analysis of the evaluation of students’ learning outcomes and the evaluation of learning process, it can be concluded that inquiry-learning model with experimental method is good to use in learning natural science

Abstrak:
Tujuan penelitian Adalah untuk mengkaji perubahan hasil belajar IPA siswa setelah belajar menggunakan model inquiry dengan metode eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 10 Probolinggo dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif bersifat deskriptif. Data penelitian berupa observasi aktivitas peserta didik, Angket atau kuesioner dari peserta didik dan tes hasil belajar peserta didik. Data bersumber dari peserta didik kelas IXC di sekolah tersebut, Hasil ketuntasan siswa pada siklus I sebesar 72% siklus II sebesar 80%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode tersebut pada pembelajaran IPA terlaksana dengan baik sesuai dengan sintak pembelajaran yang direncanakan. Hasil angket yang diberikan kepada siswa menggambarkan secara keseluruhan siswa senang belajar IPA dan keseluruhan siswa belajar IPA atas kemauan sendiri namun masih banyak siswa yang menganggap bahwa IPA pelajaran yang sulit. Berdasarkan analisis evaluasi hasil belajar siswa maupun evaluasi proses pembelajaran, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inquiry dengan metode eksperimen baik digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA.
