Modal sosial yang di dalamnya mengandung unsur jejaring sosial, keprcayaan, dan norma-norma memiliki peranan yang strategis khususnya dalam pembelajaran PPKn di sekolah, karena akan mendukug terwujudnya smart and good citizen apabila ketiga unsur dari modal sosial dimasukkan kedalam proses pembejerana PPKn di sekolah. Dalam penulisan artikel ini, penulis menggunakan metode kajian literatur, penulis mengkaji dari berbagai sumber bacaan, artikel, dan penelitian-penelitian terdahulu yang sesuai. kajian yang dilakukan dar berbagai sumber tertulis menunjukan peran modal sosial dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran PPKn di sekolah sangat strategis untuk mengembangkan karakter-karakter baik dari peserta didik. Masukan yang dapat disampaikan dalam artikel ini ialah melalui proses mengembangkan modal sosial, peserta didik memperoleh informasi budaya dan perilaku serta kepekaan yang mereka butuhkan untuk mengambangkan soft skill yang mereka miliki.
