Focus and Scope
KEMBARA: The Scientific Journal of Language, Literature, and Teaching (2442-7632) & (2442-9287), known as KEMBARA, is an international forum for original research on linguistics, Literature, and teaching that focuses on identity in linguistics, identity in Literature, and identity in language education in local and global contexts, particularly in Indonesian and English. The scope of research is wider than these three fields but can also include interdisciplinary studies that examine linguistic, literary, and educational issues.
To be published in KEMBARA, a study must have an overview of previous research or theoretical concepts packaged to justify the novelty/uniqueness of this research and the main focus on the fields of language, Literature, and teaching. We welcome a variety of topics, theoretical orientations, and methodological approaches (qualitative and quantitative).
1. Studies may highlight the potential of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (e.g., Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Anthropolinguistics, Ethnolinguistics, Stylistics, Dialectology, LHK, Psychopragmatics, Agrolinguistics, Linguistic Engineering, Forensic Linguistics, etc.).
2. Critical studies of Literature may include digitizing Literature, new literary theories, applied Literature (Five of them are Sexopragmatic Literature, Literary Teopragmatics, Gastropragmatic Literature, Cosmopragmatic Literature, and Cryptopragmatic Literature).
3. Identity in language and literature (e.g., Ethnic Identity, vocational identity, job identity, religious identity, moral identity, political identity, etc.).
4. Research on innovations or the effectiveness of various language education program models may involve Learning Curriculum, Learning Strategies, Learning Assessment, BIPA, and International Language Coaching).
