Penanda modifikasi internal pada tuturan encouraging juri Indonesian Idol Special Season dalam memberikan komentar penampilan peserta

Fenomena kebahasaan tidak hanya ditemukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, tetapi dapat pula ditemukan di acara televisi, seperti acara pencarian bakat Indonesian Idol. Fenomena kebahasaan yang dapat diamati dalam acara tersebut salah satunya adalah modifikasi tindak tutur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengaji penggunaan modifikasi internal dalam tuturan encouraging juri Indonesian Idol Special Season dalam memberikan komentar penampilan peserta. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data autentik (data alami) yang berupa data lisan dengan bentuk dialog atau percakapan. Data yang digunakan bersumber dari acara pencarian bakat Indonesian Idol Special Season yang tayang pada stasiun TV RCTI. Dalam penelitian ini, sumber data diperoleh dan diunduh dari platform Youtube pada chennel resmi Indonesian Idol. Setelah diunduh, sumber data yang digunakan ditranskripsikan ke dalam transkripsi ortografi untuk memudahkan mengklasifikasikan data. Data yang telah ditranskripsikan akan diobservasi dan diklasifikasikan ke dalam kategori modifikasi internalnya masing-masing. Kemudian, data dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis kontekstual dengan teori tindak tutur dan modifikasi internal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan modifikasi internal dalam tuturan encouraging juri Indonesian Idol Special Season terdiri dari dua jenis, yaitu penggunaan upgraders dan lexical/phrasal downgraders. Pada kategori upgraders, penanda yang digunakan berupa intensifier, commitment indicator, suprasegmental emphasis, expletive, repetition, dan determination marker. Adapun pada kategori lexical/phrasal downgraders, penanda yang digunakan berupa hedge dan downtoner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan tata bahasa antara bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia menyebabkan banyak klasifikasi modifikasi internal sulit diterapkan dalam bahasa Indonesia. Meskipun demikian, penggunaan modifikasi internal tidak hanya ditemui pada jenis tindak tutur meminta, tetapi dapat pula ditemukan pada jenis tindak tutur lain, seperti tindak tutur memuji dan tindak tutur menginformasikan. Selain itu, penanda modifikasi internal dalam bahasa Indonesia dapat direalisasikan dalam bentuk formal maupun informal.
