Peran media online Magdalene.co terhadap persepsi masyarakat pada isu kesehatan mental ibu (Perspektif Sara Mills)

Kasus-kasus yang berkenaan dengan kondisi gangguan kesehatan mental seorang ibu semakin muncul di permukaan selama masa pandemi. Gangguan kesehatan mental ini berpengaruh terhadap kelangsungan hidup, kesejahteraan, dan hubungan antar anggota rumah tangga (ART). Media yang menyediakan Informasi-informasi yang disampaikan kepada khalayak memiliki andil dalam pembentukan persepsi masyaraka termasuk media online Magdalene.co. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana media Magdalene.co menyoroti kasus-kasus yang dialami seorang ibu yang berkaitan dengan kesehatan mental mereka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dianalisis menggunakan teori analisis wacana kritis gaya feminis Sara Mills. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisis tiga artikel yang sudah dipilah berdasarkan keterkaitan dengan topik kesehatan mental ibu dan artikel yang diterbitkan jangka waktu pada awal pandemi covid di Indonesia, Maret 2020 sampai dengan tahun 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) subjek dari ketiga artikel adalah ibu dan objek adalah anak; (2) ketiga artikel menunjukkan keberpihakannya pada ibu, (3) pembaca dilibatkan secara langsung dalam teks; (4) ketiga penulis bertujuan untuk memberikan pandangan yang berbeda tentang perempuan, ibu, dan gangguan kesehatan mental yang dialami seorang ibu. Dari hasil temuan dapat disimpulkan, penulis menunjukkan bahwa subjek memiliki kekuasaan penuh terhadap dirinya sebagai perempuan dan sebagai seorang ibu yang juga memerlukan dukungan dari lingkungan terdekatnya. Pemberitaan di berbagai media massa mainstream membentuk stigma pada masyarakat yang menjadikan ibu sebagai korban dari konstruksi sosial sampai saat ini. Citra “ibu sempurna” yang disematkan masyarakat terhadap perempuan memberikan dampak terhadap kebahagiaan ibu dan bermuara pada kesehatan mentalnya sebagai perempuan.
