Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan perilaku K.H. Ahmad Dahlan dalam novel Sang Pencerah karya Akmal Nasery Basral yang dikaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga bisa dijadikan tolak ukur bagi segenap masayarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis sosiologi sastra, sedangkan pendekatan penelitiannya adalah kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Sumber datanya berupa novel Sang Pencerah karya Akmal Nasery Basral, data dalam penelitin ini berupa satuan cerita dari kutipan-kutipan yang sesuai dengan tujuan dan fokus penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut; (1) perilaku tokoh K.H. Ahmad Dahlan yang berani dalam memberikan terobosan baru dalam sendi kehidupan. (2) perilaku tokoh K.H. Ahmad Dahlan yang prinsipil dalam mempertahankan ide dan gagasannya. (3) perilaku tokoh K.H. Ahmad Dahlan yang sabar dalam menghadapi segala cobaan.

 Kata Kunci: perilaku, sabar, berani, dan prinsipil

 Abstract: This study describes KH. Ahmad Dahlan’s behavior in the novel Sang Pencerah by Akmal Nasery Basral associated with everyday life, so it becomes a reflection of the people. This study uses the literary sociology approach which is qualitative in nature. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis. The source of data is the novel Sang Pencerah by Akmal Nasery Basral. The data are story units quoted in accordance with the purpose and focus of the study. The findings are: (1) KH Ahmad Dahlan’s courageous behavior in making break-through in aspects of life; (2) KH Ahmad Dahlan’s rigorous behavior in sustaining his ideas; (3) KH Ahmad Dahlan’s enduring behavior in facing all kinds of conflicts.
