ABSTRAK
Luka bakar merupakan salah satu jenis trauma dengan masalah yang kompleks. Permasalahan
pada luka bakar menimbulkan kebingungan dan kesulitan pada perawat dalam memberikan
perawatan. Perawat juga menjadi kewalahan dalam melakukan tindakan keperawatan dalam
merawat pasien luka bakar. Kompleknya masalah luka bakar juga menimbulkan perubahan emosi
perawat dalam memberikan perawatan sehingga berdampak pada distres emosional dan perawatan
yang kurang optimal pada pasien. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi makna
pengalaman perawat melakukan perawatan luka bakar fase emergency di IGD. Desain penelitian
menggunakan kualitatif fenomenologi interpretatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan
interview mendalam (in depth interview) pada 7 partisipan dengan panduan wawancara semi
terstruktur. Kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisishermeneutics menurut Streubert &
Carpertner.Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa tema dalam merawat pasien luka bakar fase
emergency. Tema-tema tersebut yaitu; 1)memiliki kesigapan dalam memberikan perawatan 2)
berkolaborasi menentukan keselamatan pasien, 3) melayani dalam situasi kacau balau, 4)
mengalami tekanan batin dalam bekerja.Merawat sebagai sebuah perjuangan merupakan maka
pengalaman perawat dalam memberikan perawatan luka bakar fase emergency. Makna ini
terbentuk karena penuh perjuangan dalam memberikan perawatan dengan situasi yang banyak
tekanan, pelayanan yang terbatas, tetapi dapat memberikan perawatan optimal dan mampu
menstabilkan kondisi pasien.

ABSTRACT
Burns is one type of traumahave a complex problem. Problems in burns cause confusion and
difficulty in nurses in providing care. Nurses also be overwhelmed in a nursing action in treating
burn patients. Complexity of the problem of burns also cause emotional changes of nurses in
providing care so the impact on emotional distress and less than optimal care for patients. The
purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of the experience of nurses perform emergency
phase of burn care in the ER. The study design using qualitative interpretive phenomenology. Data
were gathered through in-depth interviews (in-depth interviews) at 7 participants with a semistructured
interview guide. Then analyzed using analysis of hermeneutics according Streubert &
Carpertner. The study produced several themes in treating burn patients. These themes namely; 1)
had the alacrity in providing care, 2) collaborating determine patient safety, 3) caring in
overcrowding situation, 4) feeling high stressor in work. Nursing as a struggle is the experience of
nurses in providing emergency treatment of burns phase. This meaning is formed because of strife
in providing care to the situation that a lot of pressure, limited service, but it can provide optimal
care and is able to stabilize the patient's condition.
