ABSTRAK
Sayuran merupakan salah satu jenis makanan yang memberikan dampak baik bagi kesehatan anak
usia pra sekolah. Kesulitan makan sayur pada anak usia pra sekolah menjadi permasalahan
tersendiri. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap
peningkatan pengetahuan anak tentang pentingnya sayur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra
eksperiment dengan rancangan one group pre test post test desain. Sampel adalah anak pra sekolah
4-6 tahun di RA Al Madaniyah sebanyak 49 anak.Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan sampling
jenuh. Analisa data menggunakan uji t test sampel berpasangan, dengan SPSS for Window versi
17 Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir seluruh 83,7% anak mempunyai pengetahuan
tentang jenis sayur yang kurang; sebagian besar 55,1% anak mempunyai pengetahuan kurang
tentang manfaat sayur ;sebagian besar 69,4% tidak menjawab saat ditanya dampak kurangnya
konsumsi sayur; dan hasil analisa data diketahui bahwa ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan
terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan anak ( p value sebesar 0,00; kekuatan hubungan 0,519).
Pentingnya pendampingan dan motivasi orang tua dalam mengenalkan sayur pada anak pra
sekolah, melalui penyampaian informasi singkat secara kontinyu mengenai jenis, manfaat dan
dampak sayur setiap kali acara makan. Diharapkan dengan pengenalan sayur sejak dini, akan
terbentuk kebiasaan mengkonsumsi sayur.

ABSTRACT
Vegetables are one of the types of foods that give a good impact for the health of pre-school age
children. Difficulty on eating vegetables at pre-school age children into its own problems. The
research goal was to determine the effect of health education to increase knowledge of children
about the importance of vegetables. The research is a pre-experimental design with one group
pretest posttest design. Samples are preschoolers 4-6 years at RA Al Madaniyah as 49. Sampling
technic used saturated sampling. Data were analyzed using paired sample t test, with SPSS for
Window version 17. The results showed that nearly all 83.7% of children had less knowledge
about types of vegetables; majority of 55.1% had less knowledge about the benefits of vegetables;
the majority of 69.4% did not answer when asked about the impact the lack of consumption of
vegetables; and the data analysis result showed that there is an influence of health education in
order to increase knowledge of children (p value of 0.00; the strength of the relationship 0.519).
Mentoring and motivation of parents in introducing vegetables on pre-school children is
important, about continuous brief information related to types, benefits and impacts of vegetables
in any kind of meal. It is expected with the introduction of vegetables early on, will form the habit
of eating vegetables.
