ABSTRAK
Kolesterol tinggi dalam darah berhubungan dengan tekanan darah tinggi (hipertensi), penyempitan serta kakunya dinding pembuluh darah akibat dari penumpukan kolesterol pada pembuluh darah dapat menyebabkan tekanan darah meningkat. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan kadar kolesterol dengan tekanan darah pada pasien hipertensi di Dusun Sidomulyo Desa Rejoagung Kecamatan Ploso Kabupaten Jombang. Jenis penelitian deskriptif korelasi, dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi adalah semua penderita hipertensi di Dusun Sidomulyo Desa Rejoagung Kecamatan Ploso Kabupaten Jombang dengan metode total sampling, sejumlah dari 34 orang. Kadar kolesterol diukur menggunakan kolesterol alat pengukur digital, sedangkan tekanan darah diukur dengan menggunakan sphygmomanometer dan stetoskop. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji Rank Spearman pada α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian sebagian besar (52,9%) responden mempunyai kadar kolesterol darah sedang (200 – 239 mg/dl) dan hampir setengahnya (41,2%) responden responden menderita hipertensi derajat 1 ( 140 -159/90-99 mmHg) dan hipertensi derajat 2 (160 -179/100-109 mmHg). Nilai sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000 bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara Kadar Kolesterol dengan Kadar Hipertensi dengan koefisien korelasi 0,668 menandakan hubungan yang tinggi antara kadar kolesterol dengan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di Dusun Sidomulyo Desa Rejoagung. Memberikan informasi kepada pasien supaya memantau kadar kolesterol total disarankan untuk tetap dalam batas normal (< 200 mg/dl) serta mengatur gaya hidup.

ABSTRACT
High cholesterol in the blood associated with high blood pressure (hypertension), narrowing and rigidity of the walls of blood vessels as a result of the build of cholesterol in the blood vessels can cause blood pressure to rise. The aim of research to determine the correlation of cholesterol with blood pressure in hypertensive patients at Sidomulyo Rejoagung Village District of Ploso Jombang. Correlation descriptive research, with cross sectional approach. The population is all patients with hypertension in Sidomulyo Rejoagung Village District of Ploso Jombang of the total sampling method, a number of 34 people. Cholesterol levels were measured used a cholesterol digital gauges, while the blood pressure is measured used a sphygmomanometer and stethoscope. The statistical test used was Spearman Rank test at α = 0.05. Results of the study were mostly (52.9%) of respondents have moderate blood cholesterol levels (200 -239 mg / dl) and nearly half (41.2%) of respondents of respondents suffer from hypertension grade 1 (140 -159 / 90-99 mmHg) and hypertension degree 2 (160 -179 / 100-109 mmHg). Sig. (2-tailed) are 0,000 that there is a significant correlation between the levels of Hypertension Cholesterol Levels with correlation coefficient of 0.668 indicates a high correlation between cholesterol levels with blood pressure in patients with hypertension in Sidomulyo Rejoagung Village District of Ploso Jombang. Provide information to patients in order to monitor the levels of total cholesterol are advised to remain in the normal range (<200 mg / dl) as well as lifestyle management.
