Development of Learning Media at SDN Tamanbaru Banyuwangi and Its Relevance to Fulfillment of the Right to Education
The COVID-19 pandemic has become a new challenge and an impact on human efforts to generate new alternatives. This alternative also includes educational settings, which seem to have begun to leave conventional face-to-face patterns towards online learning or blended learning. So far, the alternative for implementing school learning is by implementing online meetings at almost all levels of education, including the elementary school level. However, there are various problems in the field in its application, such as what happened at SD Negeri Tamanbaru, Banyuwangi District, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java Province. In this school, there is a gap between teachers and students regarding the use of technology to support online learning. The gap is due to knowledge in the operation of online learning media, along with the challenges of limited purchasing power of internet data packages for both teachers and students. This research was conducted based on community service to provide an alternative to grassroots communities with an innovative online learning system by introducing new learning media to teachers and students. With this activity, it is hoped that online learning can be carried out effectively and efficiently. Implementation methods used are interviews and surveys to teachers (target), making modules for teachers, training and mentoring in learning media (google meet and google form), and evaluating the program of implementing new learning media for students. The reference for the success of this service program is that teachers and students are more comfortable and easier to use the media. Therefore, teachers get better digital skills in online-based learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
