PENGEMBANGAN MODEL DETEKSI DINI ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS (ABK) PADA TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI (PAUD) DI KOTA MALANG

Pendidikan merupakan hak setiap warga negara tanpa adanya pengecualian, termasuk anak berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui problematika dan harapan guru PAUD Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) dan perumusan model deteksi dini. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan Focus Group Discussion. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 249 guru PAUD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 7 responden (3%) mengetahui asesmen ABK dan sebanyak 242 responden (97%) tidak mengetahui asesmen untuk ABK. Selain itu, permasalahan para guru PAUD yaitu sulit untuk melakukan deteksi dini saat masuk PAUD dan mengalami kesulitan untuk mengkomunikasikan dengan orang tua, belum memahami cara menangani ABK, dan adanya kesulitan anak ABK masuk sekolah ke jenjang berikutnya. Selanjutnya harapan para guru, yaitu adanya instrumen pendeteksian dini dan panduan wawancara guru pada orang tua, cara penanganan ABK, keterbukaan orang tua pada sekolah, dan sistem sekolah yang mendukung ABK. Selain itu, dibutuhkan modul deteksi dini yang jelas dan rinci serta mudah dipahami dan diterapkan.
