Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi Terapan or Scientific Journal of Applied Psychology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Faculty of Psychology, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, in collaboration with Ikatan Psikologi Perkembangan Indonesia (IPPI) and Ikatan Psikologi Klinis (IPK). This journal publishes research reports on the development of psychology as a science in various contexts, especially issues about applied psychology worldwide. Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi Terapan is published twice annually (January and August), and the submitted articles can be in Bahasa Indonesia or English. Manuscripts must be original and have never been published elsewhere.

Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi Terapan has been accredited by the National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA), managed by the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency of Republic Indonesia with First Grade (Sinta 1) for the year 2026 to 2029 according to the decree No. 295/C/C3/KPT/2026, and has recently been successfully indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and EBSCO. Ethical Clearance Requirement for Manuscript Submission

2026-03-10

Starting from Volume 15 Issue 1, all manuscripts submitted for publication are required to include ethical clearance obtained from an appropriate institutional ethics committee.

Authors must ensure that research involving human participants, personal data, or sensitive information has received ethical approval from a recognized institutional review board or ethics committee prior to submission. The ethical clearance document should be attached as a supplementary file during the manuscript submission process.

This requirement is implemented to ensure that all published research adheres to recognized ethical standards in research and publication.

We kindly ask all prospective authors to prepare the necessary documentation before submitting their manuscripts.

This issue of JIPT features 10 articles in applied psychology, exploring topics such as quality of life and coping strategies among caregivers of individuals with schizophrenia, the role of meaningful work and work engagement in fostering organizational commitment among millennial employees, and the psychometric evaluation of the Indonesian version of DASS-21. Other studies examine the mediating role of neuroticism in future anxiety, personality influences on workplace flourishing across job sectors, and academic dishonesty among first-year university students in the AI era. This issue also includes research on the adaptation of the Mental Help-Seeking Intention Scale (MHSIS) in Indonesia, the effects of helicopter parenting on grit and mental well-being, children’s perceptions of paternal involvement following parental separation, and the relationship between emotional intelligence and career adaptability in employees. Together, these contributions offer meaningful insights to enrich psychological theory and inform practice within the Indonesian context.
