Jurnal Teknik Industri is an open-access and peer-reviewed scientific journal published twice a year (February and August). This journal receives scientific papers from national (since 2000) and abroad (Since 2019).  Jurnal Teknik Industri aims to publish scientific articles aimed to achieve state-of-the-art theory and application related to industrial and operations management. This Journal is a media for information dissemination of research results for lecturers, researchers, and practitioners. Jurnal Teknik Industri receives articles from original research, case study articles, and scientific review articles. This journal is published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang.

Main topics of interest but not limited to Management Science and Operational Research, Distribution and Logistic Management, Supply Chain Management, Bussines and management (Performance Management, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management), Decision science in business and management, and Halal Industry (Halal food, Halal logistics, Halal marketing, Halal packaging, Halal financing, Halal hospitality services, and Business and Management in Islamic/Muslim perspective), Lean manufacturing, Operations improvement and productivity, Innovation management in operations, Product design and development, Operations in the service industry,  Quality Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Human Factors Engineering.

In 2018, Jurnal Teknik Industri was accredited by the National Journal Accreditation Managed by Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Republic Indonesia with Second Grade (Peringkat 2, Sinta 2) according to the decree No. 34/E/KPT/2018. Jurnal Teknik Industri has been indexed and abstracted and displayed in Garuda (Garda Rujukan Digital), One Search, Google Scholar, Base, Crossref (DOI: 10.22219), and ROAD ISSN.
