1. General Author Guidelines
All manuscripts must be submitted to JTI Editorial Office using Online Submission at E-Journal portal address:
Where the author registers as Author in an open journal system. If authors have any problems with the online submission, please contact the Editorial Office at the following email: email@example.com.
Three manuscripts are acceptable for publication: Original Research Articles, Short Communication, and Review Articles (not preferable, based on invitation).
2. Manuscript Template
The manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines in the MS Word (.docx, .doc) article template: Template.
3. Reviewing of manuscripts
At least two peer-reviewers independently review every submitted paper. The publication, amendment, or rejection decision is based upon their reports/recommendation and made by Editor. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within three months of the submission date.
4. Revision of manuscripts
Manuscripts sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. Revised manuscripts can be sent to the editorial office through the Online Submission Interface (http://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/industri/index). The revised manuscripts returned later than three months will be considered as new submissions.
5. Guideline for Online Submission
The author should first register as Author and is offered as a Reviewer through the following address: http://ejournal.umm.ac.id/index.php/industri/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions
The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star-marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, the Author clicks on the “Register” button to proceed with the registration. Therefore, the Author is brought to the online author submission interface where Author should click on “New SubmissionCover In the Start, a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in the online submission process:
After this submission, the Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors can track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes the status of manuscript review and editorial process.
6. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Jurnal Teknik Industri received articles in an original research paper, review paper, and case study.
An original research paper is an article that reports detailed research and is classified as primary literature. Its format includes an introduction and background problems, methods, results, interpretation of findings, and discussion sections.
A review paper is an article that provides an up-to-date report on the current situation regarding certain important topics on a scope journal. It discusses previous development from the topic and gives an overview of the future. In general, a review paper is usually long, depending on the case being reviewed.
A case study is an article compiled by author(s) presenting details of unique cases on the scope journal. The cases are usually those that contribute significantly to the knowledge in the field. This article is expected to discuss the signs, symptoms, diagnosis, and problem-solving.
The manuscript should be uploaded to the Jurnal Teknik Industri system and arranged in Jurnal Teknik Industri standard format, Title, Authors, Address and Email, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Result and Discussion, Conclusion, Data Availability, Declarations, Acknowledgment, and References. Typed at one side of the white paper of A4 size, in a single column, one spaceline, 10 point Century Schoolbook font, and should be given line numbers. Margins for the top are 3 cm, for the bottom left, and right are 2,5 cm. The maximum paper length is 10 pages.
A Title Is Fewest Possible Words, Accurately Describe The Content (Maximum 10 Word, Century Schoolbook 14, Don’t Abbreviation)
The manuscript has the main author and co-authors with the full name of the author and co-authors (no abbreviation), includes an address (es) and email addresses clearly.
The Abstract should be informative and completely self-explanatory, provide a clear statement of the problem, the proposed approach or solution, and point out major findings and conclusions. The Abstract should be 100 to 200 words in length. The abstract should be written in the past tense. Standard nomenclature should be used and, abbreviations should be avoided. No literature should be cited.
The keywords should be avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts. Do not use words or terms in the title as keywords. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes. Keywords should not more than 5 words or phrases in alphabetical order.
The Introduction should provide a clear background, a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the subject, the proposed approach or solution, and the new value of research which is innovation. It should be understandable to colleagues from a broad range of scientific disciplines. The introduction must be written using 600 to 1000 words.
Explaining research chronological, including research design, research procedure (in the form of algorithms, Pseudocode or other), how to test and data acquisition , . The description of the course of research should be supported references so that the explanation can be accepted scientifically , . A Theory section should extend, not repeat, the background to the article already dealt with in the Introduction and lays the foundation for further work. A Calculation section represents a practical development from a theoretical basis. Materials and methods must be written using 400 to 600 words.
3. Results and Discussion
Explained the results of research and at the same time is given the comprehensive discussion. Results can be presented in figures, graphs, tables, and others that make the reader understand easily , . The discussion can be made in several sub-chapters. The unit of measurement used should follow the prevailing international system. All figures and tables are placed separately at the end of manuscript pages and should be active and editable by the editor.
The conclusion should be explained clearly. The suggestion placed after the conclusion contains a recommendation on the research done or an input that can be used directly by the consumer. Conclusion and suggestion must be written using 70 to 150 words.
Describe the Data Availability in this section.
Author contribution: Describe the contributions of each author in this section.

The main references are international journals and proceedings. All references should be to the most pertinent and up-to-date sources. References are written in IEEE style. Each citation should be written in the order of appearance in the text. Please use a consistent format for references. Please double-check: every citation in the text must match up to an entry in the reference list and vice-versa. References must always be given in sufficient detail for the reader to locate the work cited (see below for formats). Note that your paper is at risk of rejection if there are too few (<30) or if a disproportionate share of the references cited is your own 5 self-citation).

Nomenclature and Units
Please take care that all terminology and notation used will be widely understood. Abbreviations and acronyms should be spelled out in full at their first occurrence in the text.
SI units are strongly recommended. If non-SI units must be used, SI equivalents (or conversion factors) must also be given. Please use the spellings ' liter' and 'meter' (a 'meter' is a measuring instrument).
Please use a decimal point rather than a comma in numbers (i.e., 3.142, not 3,142).
Write equations in dimensionless form or metric units. Please use italic letters to denote variables (in text or displayed equations).
All figures should be embedded correctly positioned within your Word files and supplied as separate graphics files in their original formats. EPS, TIFF, or PSD formats are preferred. Use a minimum of 300 dpi.
Figures should appear in numerical order, be described in the body of the text, and be positioned close to where they are first cited. Each figure should have a caption that describes the illustration, which can be understood independently of the main text. The caption should be given in the text and not on the figure itself.
Because figures may be resized in production, please use scale bars and not magnification factors.
Please submit tables as editable text and not as images. Number tables consecutively by their appearance in the text and place any table notes below the table body. Be sparing in tables and ensure that the data presented in them do not duplicate results described elsewhere in the article. Please avoid using vertical lines.
Make sure all figures and tables will fit inside the text area.
The authors must refer to Jurnal Teknik Industri Journal for writing format and style (Template). This will ensure fast processing and publication. Any papers not fulfilling the requirements based on the guideline to authors will not be processed.

Authors who feel their English language manuscript may require editing to eliminate possible grammatical or spelling errors and conform to correct scientific English may wish to use the English Language Editing service. Articles sent in Bahasa Indonesia will be edited and translated with a fee charged to the authors (proofreading costs around IDR 400,000.00 per 1000 words).
