Progresiva : Jurnal Pemikiran dan Pendidikan Islam is a biannually published journal in January-June and July-December. It covers  issues on the Islamic and educational studies within a such number of fields as Islamic education, teaching and learning methods, curriculum, media, evaluation, Islamic college (pesantren) studies, madrasah, Qur'anic studies and exegesis, and Islamic philosophy. 

Progresiva is a scientific journal published by the Islamic Education Study Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang in July 2006. Progresiva has been registered with P-ISSN (2502-6038) and E-ISSN (2684-9585) on a six-month publishing scale, January - June, and July - December. This journal serves as a media for scholars, students, or researchers to express their thoughts.

PROGRESIVA specializes in the study of Islamic Religious Education and seeks to present a variety of the latest and highest quality scientific research results. This journal collaborates with Association of Islamic Education Department Indonesia (Perkumpulan Prodi PAI Indonesia/ PPPAI) and International Conference on Education/ ICEdu.

Editor accepts the article has not been published in other media with the writing format as listed on page manuscript writing guidelines. Started by Volume 10, Number 1, January 2021, the journal was only published by using one language namely English. The journal has been indexed in Dimensions, Moraref, Google Scholar, SINTA, Garuda, and others. Also, started by Volume 11, Number 1, June 2022, authors affiliation written comprehensively contained the university and the processing history of article.
